Keep Exercising to Become Strong

Hi:

The idea of being a "strong" woman is a bit alien to me, but as I have been weight training for three weeks, I'm starting to think it is a good idea. 

If I want a life of adventure, extensive travel, and unscheduled days, being strong, muscular and in excellent shape will allow me to enjoy the journey.  Yet many baby boomers, men and women have stopped exercising altogether.  Apparently about 50% of baby boomers are overweight. There seems to be some disconnect with reality here.  People want to go out and conquer the world but don't have the stamina to do so.  Even now, after three weeks, I can pick up some household goods easier. I've had shoulder and knee injuries for around 35 years so it feels good to develop strength.
