Working after Retirement - Some Statistics

Twenty two percent of  these were recent retirees. Four percent were looking for jobs. 

Here are some of the reasons:

• Financial Consideration 38%
• Don’t like retirement 22%
• Want to feel useful 19%
• Asked to help out 14%
• Other 7%

So, it seems that many still need to work to keep living at their expected life.  It is interesting that the other reasons were based on values or feelings about retirement.  This shows the need, not just for financial planning, but for life planning.
