Identifying with BoomersI

Hi: 

I have noticed that many older people want to be baby boomers. Surprising to me, but people do want to be part of a movement.

The oldest boomers turned 60 last year, and so this year all those born in 1947 will join the 60's crowd. Yet, I have heard people who are now in their late sixties referring to themselves as boomers.  The late boomers, who are in their early forties find that interesting. These older folks could be their parents.

Psychologically, though, what the baby-boomer generation symbolizes is what many people want as they move into their later years. What is that? An all-out-opportunity to actually do all the things they wanted to in their youth. And what is wrong with that, whatever the age.
