Newsletter # 2 - Summer Opportunities

Mahara SinclaireHi:

Here are a couple of very interesting summer opportunities:

The first is the opportunity to study at Oxford University in the U.K. They have a variety of courses in their continuing education department. This department especially caters to international students. Course offerings include such topics as creative writing, English literature, and history, politics and society. Some of the courses are a week long and on-site accommodation and food can be arranged. What a way to spend a bit of time - in a course with similar-minded people from all over the world. I can only imagine what a rich experience this might be like!

Another interesting site that might be of interest is http://www.elderhostel.org/ I dislike the name elder, but besides that, they do offer interesting programs. Participants are generally put up at university campuses, or somewhat less expensive accommodation. They have a last-minute special section. You would need to compare thoroughly, as with everything. Just looked and they have a barge trip from August 11th to 26th, entitled Paris and Chateaus of France. $3,571 per person may be quite a deal for France if it includes everything.

Happy Surfing,
